Who Says I Look Like Alejandro?

From bartender to newspaper reporter (remember newspapers?) to advertising agency manager in the Northeast USA, Goodyear’s early career did nothing to prepare him for international travel. Then came corporate life, and Motorola, and it all started. His positions in four different Motorola businesses all had global responsibilities and when he was not traveling professionally, he was personally filling in the gaps. Eventually his Motorola experience included an expat assignment in Hong Kong and for almost three years Goodyear lived in mid-levels in HKG and traveled throughout most of Asia representing Motorola.

The international travel continued in subsequent jobs, but usually to the same places. Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, London. It wasn’t until Goodyear entered higher education that new destinations were added. During his international MBA classes as a faculty member at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota Goodyear spent time in Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Hong Kong (a different perspective) and Guangzhou. And Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City  teaching for Royal Education out of Hanoi.

Retirement in 2020 provide the time to write. Travel more. And share it all on this blog.
